HOLA EVERYONE! WELCOME TO DAY 9 OF OUR SWAP! I made this candle shortly after we created our list. I was very unhappy with the candle I made for Linda last year and was determined to do a great job this year! That is why when I saw JAMIE DOUGHERTY alter a candle one night on

Place Settings Made for my Scrappy Sister Andrea

Good morning all!

I wanted to share a project that I completed for my scrappy sister, Andrea. She is hosting a holiday party today for a group of about 20 or more of her fellow sorority sisters: the ZETA PHI BETAs of the DELTA BETA ZETA Chapter of Queens, New York. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is an international organization of business, professional and collegiate women with an extensive history of community service. CLICK HERE for more information about this awesome organization.

Andrea asked me to create place settings that her sorors can use after the festivities are over. I found wooden plaques at A.C. Moore for about 30 cents each and went to work. Andrea provided the doves which she purchased and I painted. Though Provocraft has a digital GREEK ALPHABET cartridge available for purchase and use in the CRICUT CRAFT ROOM, I used my Gypsy and welded an "O" and an "I" to create the PHI. I LOVE MY GYPSY!!!!

Here are pics of some of the completed placeholders!
Thanks for taking a peek!

I think these will make great tree ornaments
or home/office decor items
Here is a list of products I used.......
To create ROYAL BLUE"(the Zeta Phi Beta color )paint...

DAY 6-ALTERED BOOK

Welcome back EVERYONE! WOW! Linda and I are halfway through our version of the 12 DAYS of December! Altered Book is today's exchange. We initially were going to exchange altered composition notebooks, but we did that last year. So this year we choose to alter ANY book. I stumbled across this bare book in ODD LOT and thought it would be perfect to alter! I used Ranger Color Wash in....you guessed it ...STREAM, Tim Holtz Bird Cage Die, Rust embossing powder, Prima leaves and
 IAMROSES orange flowers with tulle.

Thanks for taking a peek!

HOLA EVERYONE! Welome back to our 12 DAYS of DECEMBER SWAP. I had fun making these quick and easy notecards. DAY 4-TO/FROM TAGS

HOLA EVERYONE! Welcome to DAY 4 of our swap. I received die cuts as part of a swap over at YOUR PAPER PANTRY a few months ago and immediately knew that I would use them as ornaments for my TO/FROM TAGS this year! This was a very quick project that I completed at a crop. Here is what I did......

**Adhered patterned paper to the die cuts.
**Created the "top" and went over the edges with a gold pen. (Borrowed from scrappy sister Charlotte)
**Adhered gold ribbon with FABRICTAC slightly above the middle of the "ornament"
**Adhered small gold ribbon roses (given to me by my scrappy mama Gretchen) with hot glue
**Punched a small hole on the top of each "ornament" with a MARTHA STEWART 1/16" hole
    punch
**Stamped "To" and "From" on the back of tags with BLACK STAZON ink
**Sprayed white bakers string, cut at 2" inches each,  with CANDY APPLE Glimmer Mist,
     and let dry.
**Placed string in holes and tied knot to secure.

TA!DA! Yet another quick and simple project!

Thanks for taking a peek!

OOH LA LA! IT IS LINDA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!

HOLA EVERYONE!!!! I am excited about this post for a couple of reasons! FIRST>>>It is LINDA's BIRTHDAY and SECONDLY>>>>> it is DAY 7 of the 12 DAYS of CHRISTMAS OOH -LA- LA VINTAGE TREASURES BLOG HOP EVENT!   Thank you Patti and Doreen for including me in such a fun event!

My project is a simple gift using something old and making it new again with a shabby chic flair. A wooden box discovered at a yard sale, a vintage playing card, items in my stash and beautiful products from OOH- LA- LA VINTAGE TREASURES ARTFIRE SHOP turned into an WONDERFUL birthday gift! Give it a try! Simple, quick and elegant.

You can use any box to alter. I found this wooden box at a yard sale for $3! AWESOME find! Using crackle paint,  I painted it blue. I did not paint the inside as it was already padded and I like that!

Using the bottom left side of the Webster's Pages "Ladies & Gents Framed Beauty" paper that I purchased from OOH LA LA VINTAGE TREASURES, I used the bottom of the box to trace the oval that I would use on the lid of the box. I knew the oval I traced and cut would be smaller, but that is what I wanted. I inked the edge of the oval and adhered it to the lid with quick drying glue. Using a second sheet of the same patterned paper, I fussy cut 2 flowers from the sheet, inked the edges and placed them to the side.

I hot glued lace around the lid and let it set. I hot glued flatback pearls on the lace and let it set. I found it easier to hot glue both the lace and pearls a 1/2 inch at a time as the hot glue sets quickly.

I hot glued the lovely bouquet (top) and the flowers (bottom) are also from the OOH LA LA VINTAGE TREASURES ARTFIRE SHOP! (The flowers were a thank you gift from Patti and Doreen and went PERFECTLY with my project!)

I adhered a vintage playing card to the "mirror" on the paper. I hot glued flatback pearls around the card's edge. I adhered the flowers the I previously fussy cut with foam dots to give them dimension. I hot glued flowers and leaves that I found in my stash and about an hour later..........

I loved how this project turned out! OOH LA LA----the bouquet really makes the entire box pop! Stop by OOH -LA- LA VINTAGE TREASURES ARTFIRE SHOP and check out the awesome goodies for sale!

DAY 2-CHRISTMAS CARDS

HI EVERYONE!!!!  Today is DAY 2 of our SWAP! I had a great time making these Christmas cards for Linda! Of course, I had to use my "newest favorite" COPIC MARKERS! I bought most of my COPICS from A CHERRY ON TOP!!!!  I purchased the paper "25 Days of Christmas" from  A CHERRY ON TOP as well. The CC DESIGNS STAMPS are  "SANTA EMMA" and "HOLIDAY GREETINGS (AMY R)" that I purchased from SIMON SAYS STAMP.  Be sure to stop on Wednesday to take a peek at Linda's  handmade BIRTHDAY GIFT! DAY 1-DEC SMASH BOOK

Hola EVERYONE!!!! Today is DAY 1 of LINDA & PAM's 12 DAYS of DECEMBER! We created December SMASH BOOKS to exchange! I used a board book that I purchased from Big Lots for @ $2.00 to make the book for Linda! I was unsure (and still am) as to what a SMASH BOOK is exactly...but I gave it a try. Linda advised me that a SMASH BOOK is a place to put memorabilia such as ticket stubs, matchbook covers, pics, etc. And if something does not fit...like a flower...you S M A S H it into the book. I therefore assumed that it was not to e a chunky book...just have enough space for all of the little goodies.

While at a recent crop, I borrowed a Christmas Tree stamp from my scrappy sister Charlotte and she informed me that it was a 3-D stamp. I stamped the image twice and cut out several triangles from the 2nd image and used POP DOTS to adhere them to the 1st image. Love how it turned out!

Tomorrow, I will attach the vid of Linda opening her SMASH BOOK, so that you can get a better look. To take a peek at the SMASH BOOK Linda made for me....check out her blog by clicking HERE!

Out next exchange will be on 5 December and we will be swapping HOLIDAY CARDS. Please stop back and take a peek!

Have a great day!

Altered Wooden Box

Good morning EVERYBODY!!!! Hope all is well! I had an great and relaxing 4 day weekend! Ruckus made an AWESOME Thanksgiving meal...all by himself. He gave me the gift of relaxation. And I thoroughly enjoyed it! I played with my new Kindle Fire, got caught up on American Horror Story and hung out with Courtney & Noodles (William had to work and Bri was in Georgia). I got to scrap a little and complete my items for the 12 DAYS of DECEMBER SWAP with Linda!

Here is a project I completed for Noodles. I purchased a wooden box from the Dollar Tree and altered the heck out of it! I used my Ranger Color Wash in STREAM. Love the color! Used a crackle technique that I saw on Youtube~using ModPodge.  (I also heard my scrappy sister Patricia say she uses a ModPodge crackle technique. She is an awesome artist...check her out when you can>>>>tubeyoumaster1)  Since Noodles is a little fashionista and wants to enter the fashion industry, I decided to use a sewing theme! It all does start with scissors, needle and thread, right?

Here is a peek at my finished project. Have an awesome day!

Another Awesome Crop Hosted by Cropper's Delight NYC!!!!

The MURDER MYSTERY WEEKEND CROP at the Fernwood Resort in the Poconos, Pa. was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! As usual Susie, Meryle, Melissa and DJ Steve made it their number one mission to make sure all of the scrappers were happy! There were games, massages, vendors, classes, raffles, give-aways and more laughter than one human should be allowed!  LOL!!!! 60 happy scrappers left at the end of the weekend!

There were new scrappers and seasoned scrappers. Young and old scrappers. Introverted and extroverted scrappers. There were card-makers and ladies that just stuck to layouts. It was a very diverse group of race, culture and backgrounds. However, no one was made to feel uncomfortable or out of place-EVER!!!! This is the only group that I will ever crop with. EVER! The scrappers attend these great crops are always willing to share their knowledge, advice and even their tools! Yep you heard it-their tools. I have attended crops in the past, before meeting the FAB 4 of Cropper's Delight, and was very disappointed in the way the scrappers treated my scrappy mama & sistah, Gretchen and Charlotte. Yes the scrapping world can be a nasty one...but when it comes down to it..it is mostly glue and paper! There is no need to snub anyone who doesn't have the latest and coolest tools! Scissors can be used to distress paper as well as a an expensive distressing tool.

But, I digress! Please click the link below to find out about upcoming events that the Cropper's Delight will be hosting! Join the meetup group so that you may keep up with all of the fun activities. Let em' know I sent ya! I am attending their MY FAVORITE THINGS WEEKEND CROP in the Poconos in March 2012. I went last year and returned home with 2 bags of goodies that were given away to EVERYONE!!!!

Ladies reading their "CLUES" to solve the Murder Mystery!

12 DAYS of CHRISTMAS....Linda and Pam Style!

Good afternoon everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your LABOR DAY...whether you are working or playing!

Like last year, we will record ourselves opening our gifts while talking to each other on the phone. And the end , as last year, we will also have a drawing for a prize for the viewer that leaves comments on both of our 12 DAYS of CHRISTMAS.....LINDA AND PAM STYLE Youtube vids. If you want to play along using our list or your own...find a partner and join in the fun. Here is the list for this year............

CK CONVENTION EXPERIENCE!!!

Good morning EVERYONE! HAPPY 1  AUGUST!!!! I had an awesome weekend at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Valley, Forge, PA. However, there were a few issues. The VENDOR FLOOR was HOT! Like, surface of the sun HOT! I was told that 21 of the 25 air conditioners on the floor were out of order! A women passed out from the heat! I didn't get to walk the entire floor as I wanted to because it was toooo darn HOT! This was a loss for myself (I could not spend the little money I had) and the vendors (They couldn't get my money!)

I took 4 AWESOME classes while I was there!

BOXER PALOOZA is a lecture style class, hosted by BOXER SCRAPBOOKS! This class usually sells out so hop on it fast. For an entire hour, Angie, one of the owners, will give you loads of products and tips. The BOXER PALOOZA pin that you receive at the end will entitle you to get a discount at the BOXER BOOTH while at the Convention!

I also took the SIMPLY COPIC SERIES offered by the amazing Nicki and Reenee, the mother-daughter owners of CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. The series includes 3 classes. SIMPLY COPIC I--is an introduction to how to use your Copics. SIMPLY COPICS II--picks up where SIMPLY COPIC I left off and includes awesome tips and techniques. SIMPLY COPICS III--combines classes I & II (which are not necessary to attend for this class) You will learn how to use the airbrushing system with your Copics! In each class you will receive 3 Copic markers (different markers in each class) and a exclusive stamp set and awesome card projects!
Being new to COPICS, I gained a lot of knowledge on the use of my new obsession! Nicki (one of the owners) took the time out after the last class to show me a few tips on skin tone. I was finally able to complete a tag that I am working on for a Greeting Farm Swap that I am in with Linda S. (SCRAPCHICA) Hope everyone is having an awesome Monday! XOXOXO

Pam

Worked on my skin-tone coloring during the CK Convention Saturday night Crop! I still need  a little practice though!

My First Blog AWARD!!!!

Hi Everyone! I received my 1st BLOG AWARD-from 2 bloggers! However, the 2 scrappers that bestowed this award  on me, may have me confused with someone else. I say this because the blog award is for being..get this... IRRESISTIBLY SWEET!  Who? Me? Really? I know you ladies watch my YouTube vids and Table Scraps Webisodes! I am nowhere near sweet. It takes someone other than a sweet person to marry Ruckus! LMBO! But, if you insist! LOL!!!  Thank you Linda S. and Yvonne M. You know I adore you both!  I accept my blog award and will display it proudly! In order to truly do this I must......

1. Thank the person(s) who gave it to me.
2. Tell 7 things about myself.
3. Pass it on to 8 others!

And away we go........................

THANK YOU!!!
Thank you Linda S. at SCRAPCHICA's STUDIO
Thank you Yvonne M. at SCRAPPING IS BLISS.
You  both ROCK and I am glad that we met and are now srappy sisters! Besos, abrazos y bendiciones!

7 THINGS ABOUT ME!!!
1. I brush my teeth in the shower!
2. I cannot...repeat...cannot throw up in a toilet! It makes me throw up even more! If needed, I throw up in the sink. TMI right?
3. Favorite word english: onomatopoeia
                                   spanish: burbuja (bubble)
4. I HATE GOOGLY EYES! They scare me! They are very unnatural! No one's eyes should roll around their head like that unless they are in a movie about demonic possession!
5. I love a good laugh! I do it often because my children and hubby are silly! Just plain silly!
6. If I leave clothes or other items laying around my bedroom at night, 9 times out of ten, I will wake up and scream thinking that something or someone is in my room!
7. If I hear someone, who is unaware that I speak spanish, saying nasty things about me or
someone else in spanish....I let it go on for as long as I can take it. Then I respond in spanish to what they have said. Usually the first statement that is made after they pick their jaw up off of the floor is "You peeky 'pan-ish?" Makes me laugh every time!
8. I know I am supposed list 7 things, but I have OCD and have a thing for even numbers. And I love the numer 8.
